Chinese RoboCop at Shenzhen Airport

There has been a major step-up in security at Shenzhen Baoan Airport in Guangdong province: About one-and-a-half meters tall, and weighing close to 75 kilograms, “Anbot” is equipped to deal with crime using intelligent monitoring, four digital cameras and even a taser. But like any good security guard, it is also capable of providing simple flight information.

Sea turtles find comfort in Sansha

A special protection station in Sansha, Hainan province is providing a place of comfort for sea turtles during the breeding season.

This huge sea turtle is doing all she can to cover her precious eggs with sand to keep them safe. Days later, dozens of baby turtles will burst out and waddle into the sea one after another.

The station greatly helps maintain the fragile ecosystem in Sansha and hopefully it can also be a warm home for more sea creatures.
