Authorities in Zhejiang Province have taken similar precaution measures to prepare for Typhoon Megi.

Over a ton of sandbags were used to strengthen the bridge. Steel wire also was roped into the efforts.

Reinforcements were made at a construction site, including lowering the position of a crane tower... and strengthening wheels to stop cranes from moving.

And fishing boats returned to port. Last week, Typhoon "Meranti", the strongest to reach China this year, killed at least 10 people in Zhejiang. Most victims died from landslides and flash floods in rural areas.
