Exploring the mystery of space. China's achievements in this area are fascinating and growing fast.

That’s why the aerospace zone is a must-see for people coming to the InnoTech Expo 2016 in Hong Kong. The expo showcases some 50 cutting-edge technologies, offering an opportunity for people to learn about the latest technological developments in China.

Modules of the Long March carrier rockets, parts from the Chang’e lunar probes and from the Shenzhou manned spacecraft, as well as the spacesuits and the lunar globe, are catching looks and snapshots.

Here's something for fans of space travel: Put on the VR glasses and sit on the motion chair, you can experience the moment when astronaut Zhai Zhigang got out of the space capsule to make China's first space walk in 2008. And here through this simulation module of the Tiangong-1 space lab, viewers can get an idea of how the astronauts live and work without gravity.

And what’s it like to be away from the earth?

"I have an experience of looking around the space and it’s about the space and travel tours. I think this kind of experience provides citizens more chance to know about the space," said NG Chi Kwan, Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

"It’s amazing, I feel I can really walk out of the sky in the space. I’m surprised when I came here I see a lot of different model. They spent a lot of effort to make this expo. It’s really good," said Melvin Lau Sing-Po, Hong Kong resident.

The 8-day expo expects thousands of visitors, especially youngsters and students.

To help people better understand the scientific achievements, some Chinese mainland scientists are here to offer on-the-spot explanations.

And several easy-to-understand lectures and seminars are held alongside the demonstrations.
