The largest hospital in rebel-held east Aleppo is reported to have been bombed for the second time, coming after the government launched its offensive to recapture the whole city on September 22nd.

The Syrian American Medical Society said two barrel bombs hit the hospital, with reports of a cluster bomb also having hit the location. There was no information about casualties. The hospital had already been hit earlier this week on Wednesday, along with the second-largest hospital in the area.

The Doctors Without Borders medical charity has warned that the recent bombardment was provoking a "bloodbath" in the city. More than 220 people have been reportedly killed in east Aleppo since the start of this latest offensive.
