China has a pivotal World Cup qualifying game ahead when it takes on Uzbekistan on Tuesday. China’s situation is precarious, with the side only picking up one point from three games in Group A.

Gao Hongbo’s men have arrived in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, where they are now preparing for this must-win match.

The players were delayed two hours on their flight and when they arrived at the hotel, they did not do any interviews with the media. They rested for a bit and then went straight to their first training session at Bunyodkor Stadium so that the players can adjust to the weather and time difference.

As a result, the practice was just a recovery session. That leaves coach Gao only two days to sort out his line up and practice his tactics against Uzbekistan, and the players are eager to try and get their first win in qualifying.
