Intellectual property, non-tariff barriers, and trade promotion will be high on the agenda of the upcoming summit of BRICS countries. That's according to Commerce Ministry Spokesman Shen Danyang. Shen said at a weekend news conference that trade ministers from China, India, Brazil, Russia and South Africa are in negotiations.

Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the BRICS summit in India on Saturday. Many business leaders and experts have advocated for a free trade agreement among the BRICS countries. Shen said China did not mention that agenda among BRICS countries but said an FTA would benefit many areas.
