Premier Li Keqiang continues his first inspection visit to the Macao Special Administrative Region. Li urged Macao to seize the opportunity of building on the Belt and Road initiative when he toured the region on Tuesday.

He made the comments during his visit to the Macao Museum. Li said Macao is one of the most important Eurasian hubs, and should expand its unique advantages under the initiative.

Premier Li also stopped at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, which will link the three major cities on the Pearl River Delta. Li noted the bridge is the first large scale infrastructure project to be developed jointly by the two S-A-Rs and Guangdong Province under the policy of "One country, Two systems". He said the bridge will significantly improve regional transport networks and benefit local peoples once it is completed next year.
