The United States, Russia and seven other would-be Syria mediators ended a four-and-a-half-hour meeting on Saturday in the Swiss city of Lausanne. The talks failed to reach any agreement or concrete steps to deal with what America's top diplomat described as the urgent crisis in the city of Aleppo.
