That win has given a boost to Chinese snooker but as for Liang, its a another achievement after first picking up a que at only age 13. Lets take a quick look at his career so far.

As a young boy from Heilongjiang he started his professional career in 2005. Three years later he found himself at the World Championships and reached the last eight, which at the time, was the best performance from a Chinese player at the event.

Also in 2008 Liang scored his first maximum 147 break since turning professional and went on to reach number 13 in Snooker's world rankings after an impressive runner up finish at the 2009 Shanghai masters. A dip in form followed but now it seems the 29-year-old might be on the "up and up" after this latest string of results.
