British Prime Minister Theresa May will seek to calm Brexit fears at her first address to the European Union on Thursday.

May will make clear to EU leaders that Brexit is irreversible and will urge them to minimise uncertainty.

She will assure EU leaders that the process of the UK leaving will not be damaging for the EU and the departure will be a smooth, constructive and orderly process.
