Full coverage: China Tiangong-2 Space Lab Launch

How are the Chinese astronauts doing in their space odyssey? It is now Day 3 of 30 for astronauts Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong, and they have been busy with experiments in the Tiangong-2 space lab. And just like how we're curious about them, the space men are equally keen to know what's happening back home on Earth as well. For the first time in China's space history, both astronauts watched a live news program in space.

At 7 pm Beijing Time on Friday, Jing and Chen tuned in to watch President Xi Jinping's speech on the 80th anniversary of the Long March, along with millions of others. Both men might be in an orbit module almost 400 kilometers away from Earth, but their connection back with home was certainly palpable.
