Chinese astronauts Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong have spent their fourth day onboard China's Tiangong-2 space lab. They have already carried out a number of science experiments during their short time in space. The two men will live inside Tiangong-2 for an entire month.

Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong are already busy conducting experiments in China's space lab and sending data back down to earth. The two men regularly check their emails using a computer that they brought into outer space. The deputy director of China Manned Space Engineering Office and China's first astronaut Yang Liwei, has been keeping in contact with them.

"After the two astronauts were sent into space, and since they docked and entered the lab, the whole process has gone according to plan. As for their daily life, for example the amount of meals that they are eating and their water intake, the data show they are doing great," Yang said.

Yang says the two astronauts have adapted well to life in space. They work 6 days a week, like their colleagues on earth.

Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong plan their own work schedules, according to their physical conditions and work requirements.

The two men like to watch live news program on their time off, as they orbit in space 400 kilometers above earth.

"We send TV programs to the space lab to make sure the astronauts' stay in space is as enjoyable as possible. They will live in the space lab for an entire month. In the future, once the space station is built, astronauts will stay in space even longer. And we will send more types of programs to watch," Yang said.

The two astronauts are also being kept up to date on news from family and friends during their month on Tiangong-2.  Being able to stay in touch helps them adapt to life in space.
