One Belt One Road: Chinese data-heavy report on initiative progress

China released its first big data evaluation of progress on its one belt one road initiative Friday. The assessment is based on five petabytes of data concerning such factors as energy cooperation, the yuan's international use and cross-border E-commerce.

The report covers 64 countries and regions along the belt and road. Twenty of the countries and regions have started capacity cooperation with China.

The joint efforts include new markets exploration, infrastructure construction and financing for the cooperation efforts.

The cooperation has also attracted the attention of many countries, including India, the United States, Australia, Great Britain and Malaysia.
