To start this afternoon with news just in of an explosion at a coal mine in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality. 35 miners were underground at the time of the blast, but 2 managed to escape.

The fate of the other 33 is currently unknown. Rescue operations and an investigation into the cause of the incident are underway. We will bring you more updates on this story as they come in.
