A European Union-China business and technology cooperation fair has opened in Chengdu, Southwest China. The event is seen as one of the largest platforms for investment, trade and technological cooperation between the EU and China.
Government and business representatives from 13 EU states and Russia are participating at this year's event, which is in its 11th edition. This year’s theme is "How to promote open cooperation and green development in the context of China’s One Belt One Road Initiative".
The European Union is China’s largest trade partner, with bilateral trade volumes having reached U.S.$570 billion in 2015.
