To the NBA for what seemed to be an intriguing early season clash, as the LA Clippers visited the San Antonio Spurs. After posting a record setting 40-1 mark at home last season, the hosts had already suffered their first Alamo City loss of this campaign, as they fell to Utah last Tuesday. And with Blake Griffin dominating the paint, the Clips were primed to make it back-to-back defeats on their own court, for the first time in two years.

The Men In Silver grab the lead right away on Pau Gasol's opening trey.

And two of Kawhi Leonard's 14 points quickly make it 5-0 San Antonio.

But Chris Paul soon unleashes Griffin, whose fastbreak dunk ties the score at 12-ALL with seven minutes left in the first quarter.

The big man is then hacked en route to another jam, and a game-high 28 points.

Injured Spurs guard Tony Parker not liking this show.

But LA continues to dominate with Jamal Crawford adding 16 off the bench, and the Clippers roll in Texas.

Elsewhere, LeBron James had 25 points and 14 rebounds as Cleveland moved to 6-0 by edging Philly. Jeff Green's 18 points included the go-ahead trey with just over three minutes left, as Washington held off Orlando. Russell Westbrook's 28 points led OKC past Minny, who got 33 from Karl-Anthony Towns. And James Harden's 30 points and 12 assists couldn't keep Houston from falling in Atlanta.
