Over in the NBA, the team that had the best record of all time last seasopn by going 73-98 in the regular season, the Golden State Warriors were on the road to take on the Denver Nuggets. Two-time defending league MVP Steph Curry would have a great night for the Dubs by pouring in 33 points in only three quarters of action.

Curry tweaked his ankle in a win over Dallas on Wednesday, but it doesn't appear to hamper him as he stops and pops from the land beyond for a three as part of a 17-2 run in the first quarter.

Denver does better in the second quarter as 21-year-old Spaniard Juancho Hernangomez scored five points in the quarter including this triple from up top.

With the Warriors up by 14 in the third quarter, Draymond Green lobs to Kevin Durant who sends it back to Green for a wide open three, part of his 13 points and nine rebounds.

And Curry is going to extend the lead with a four point play as he is fouled while nailing this trey. Big smile from the MVP who goes 7-of-13 from distance.

And from there things kind of get silly as Steph dances around before tossing in another triple and the Warriors would go on to win 125-101.

In other games, the LA Lakers beat Sacramento Kings by ten points in a matchup of two rebuilding teams. Anthony Davis scored 32 to lead the New Orleans Pelicans to their first win of the season by beating Milwaukee, and Dwayne Wade had two late free-throws as his Chicago Bulls edged his former team the Miami Heat 98-95.
