Colombia's government and FARC rebel guerillas have agreed on a new peace deal to end a 52-year war. The agreement with the country's biggest rebel group comes after four years of negotiations.

A joint statement says it "integrates changes, precisions and proposals suggested by the most diverse sectors of society".

Six weeks ago, a previous accord was rejected by a referendum for being too lenient on rebels. The war has killed hundreds of thousands and displaced millions in Colombia.
