Commemorative plaque unveiled in Paris

Sunday marks the first anniversary of the Paris attacks, where eight Islamist militants went on a rampage of shooting and suicide bombings in different areas of the city. The attacks killed 130 people. Earlier, we spoke to CCTV reporter Kate Parkinson. She told us more about the commemorations taking place in the French capital.

It's been a really solemn day here. The French President Hollande and Paris Mayor unveiling a plaque there. Here Bataclan concert hall where 90 people lost their lives.

A moment of silence was held. No speeches were made. French President said this wasn't the day for politics, it was a day for remembering those who died. The deadly night of terror here in Paris was one year ago.
