He said Asia-Pacific countries are still the driving force of global economic growth, and was essential to build a integrated and open economy in the region.

“In face of risks and challenges, all sides should uphold a partnership spirit of sharing mutual concerns and promoting win-win cooperation, enhance coordination on macro-economic policies, adopt innovative economic growth patterns, and build an open world economy. In this way, we can achieve a strong, sustainable, balanced and inclusive growth,” Xi said.

Xi also proposed to build an interconnected network covering the whole Asian-Pacific region, as inter-connectivity was an important measure to unleash the growth potential.
