Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang on the sidelines of the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.

Xi says the two sides should stick to the correct path and carry out the consensus reached during their bilateral dealings. This will ensure the relationship between the two countries remains healthy and continues to improve.

Quang, for his part, stresses that Vietnam is firmly committed to developing the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation. He says he is pleased to see the rapid improvement of bilateral ties in various fields.
