A collapse occurred at the construction site of a power station in China’s Jiangxi province, killing at least 40 people.
Xinhua news agency says a cooling tower platform plunged to the ground this morning in Fengcheng city.
Five injured workers are being treated in hospital, and it is feared the death toll will rise. Rescue work continues for those trapped under the rubble.
Local media says around 68 people were on site when the collapse occurred.
