Memphis taking a trip to South Beach. The Grizzlies dropped the opener of a back-to-back series with the Miami Heat at home on Friday, and would look for payback as they hit the road less than 24 hours later. To reverse their fortunes, the visitors ask Marc Gasol to stretch the floor, resulting in the Spaniard's best offensive showing of the season.

But it's the hosts with all the momentum in the opening quarter, as Josh Richardson's trey puts Miami up by nine. Richardson on his way to a 15-point evening.

Gasol later camps out at the top of the key, and Mike Conley finds him for a wide-open triple that puts the visitors on top. The big man would finish with a season-high 28 points.

After halftime, Gasol picks up one of his six assists when Troy Williams drives the baseline for two of his 18 points, giving the Grizz the lead again.

But when Dion Waiters misses off the glass, Hassan Whiteside's got the Windex, tying things at 80, en route to 15 and 12.

Waiters does a better job beating the clock for three of his Heat-best 28 points in the final Q, putting the hosts in front by five.

But Memphis regains control as JaMychal Green's unguarded bomb puts them up by four. The third-year forward showing off his range.

Gasol then dishes to Conley for a barely contested three from the wing. The Grizzlies go in front by seven, and Conley would end up pouring in 21 points.

But Miami storms back, and Erik Spoelstra draws up a play he hopes can force overtime.

Rookie Rodney McGruder defers to Richardson, whose desperation trey is off the mark, and the Heat fall to the Grizz by three.

Elsewhere, San Antonio beat Washington for their ninth straight win. Steph Curry's 34 points and Kevin Durant's 28 led Golden State past Minnesota, in a game Draymond Green missed with an ankle injury. Charlotte edged New York. And Russell Westbrook had his seventh triple double of the season, as OKC blew out Detroit.
