 The filmmaker Michael Mellemlokken Renjo from Norway traveled deep into a remote rural village in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to focus his mind and camera on a 10-year-old “left-at-home” girl, Yang Yanxuan.

‘2nd Prize’winner - Colors in A Cup

The filmmaker Amrit Kaur Jastol from Singapore shows the charms of ethnic fusion through an examination of the traditional Tibetan drink in Kangding, Sichuan province– butter tea.

To fulfill a childhood wish about kites, the young Slovakian filmmaker Daniel Dluhy traveled to China to look for “masters” of kite-flying. Simple, fun, and authentic, the film takes a look into the life of a real kite-flying “master.”

‘3rd Prize’winner - Song from kansu

Focusing on the art of “Aqin Aytis” singing in Kazakh, the film shows us a picture of local daily life in its full scope. Through “Aqin’s” improvisational performances, the Brazilian filmmaker Pedro Barros Brito creates a wonderful cultural journey for the audience.

The filmmaker Fabio Ragni traveled from Italy to Yunnan province to discover local food culture and to demonstrate its irreplaceable role in human social development.

‘3rd Prize’winner - Dancing Shadow

 Focusing on original art, Shanxi Shadow Puppet Play, filmmaker Hwang Woo Seung explores the checkered past and current dilemma of traditional art and offering insight into its future.

‘3rd Prize’winner - Blademaster

 

The film tells a tale about a craftsman of Baoan Broadsword, and expresses his concerns over the overall decline of Chinese ethnic cultural heritages and his determination to preserve it. The filmmaker is Tristan G.Schafer from South Africa.

‘3rd Prize’winner - Grasslands

 

Israeli filmmaker Nadan Pines tells us about the relations of the Chinese Mongolian people’s history and today.
