Five-thousand people wearing Santa Claus costumes gathered in Osaka Castle Park on Sunday to take part in the annual Osaka Great Santa Run. Some walked and some ran the 5 kilometers in the rain.

The charity event started in 2009. All money raised will be donated to buy Christmas presents for the children suffering from life-threatening illnesses and who will be in hospital on Christmas Eve.
