More than 40 journalists from China and Africa are visiting Chinese companies in Tanzania and Kenya. The tour, dubbed as 'Chinese Enterprises in Africa', kicks off in Tanzania's commercial capital Dar es Salaam. Wang Tongxuan has more.

The interview event includes more than 40 reporters from China and Africa. China's State Council Information Office, the event's organizer, says reporters will focus on how Chinese companies are run in Africa.

Deputy director of domestic service of Xinhua news agency, Zhou liang, said, ''Chinese media put great importance on the joint interview. Eight domestic media outlets, including People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, China Radio International, China Daily, sent representatives to the event."

Zhou says media cooperation is an important bridge between China and Africa. Over the years, under frameworks such as the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, media outlets from both sides have worked together in several areas.

The journalists will visit Chinese companies and research institutes, such as the China Railway Construction Engineering Company in Tanzania and Zambia and the Sino-Africa Joint Research Centre in Kenya. This aims to promote investment opportunities in both China and Africa.

Many hope that this tour will be profitable for businesses and people on both sides.
