An international forum on journalism and education has been held in Shanghai. Nearly a hundred delegates from twenty-two countries and regions took part in the first Asian Forum for deans of Journalism and communication.

Eight sessions were held, with discussions including innovation and cooperation of Asian Journalism, approaches and norms in the context of new technology, and opportunities and challenges for new media. The deans agreed to set up a mechanism for major journalism schools in Asia to increase communication and creat a  better voice for Asia in the world.
