British luxury sales and tourism businesses are cashing in on bargain-hungry visitors lured by a cheap pound.

London's tourism agency says sales of goods eligible for sales-tax exemptions have risen by a third since the June Brexit vote. The pound is currently at a lower rate against both the euro and the US dollar.

A study by Deloitte shows London is now the cheapest city for luxury goods shopping in the world in dollar terms. Tourists from the euro zone as well as the United States are seizing the chance to buy big name products at bargain prices.

However, the shopping spree by foreigners may not last long because the Brexit fallout hasn't been as worrisome as first thought. Let's hear what some tourists say.

“It’s obvious that the prices are very good for us, so we shop and we can afford to eat in small cafés, drink outside, I mean, that wasn’t possible years ago.” A Bulgarian tourist Radostina Nonova said.

"I'm mainly here to see the city, but yes, I'm going to buy things, I've just come out of a shop." said Spanish tourist Luisa Gemenez.
