The British government will seek to overturn a ruling that says it must obtain parliamentary approval before triggering Brexit. For the first time, all 11 Supreme Court judges will convene for the four-day hearing, which may upset Prime Minister Theresa May's timetable for leaving the European Union.

The High Court ruled last month that the government did not have executive power to invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, which formally starts the exit negotiation process. The court's initial  decision enraged Brexit supporters and some newspapers, who accused judges of not respecting the will of the 52 percent who voted "Leave" in the June referendum.
