It took off at 3:30p.m. local time, with 48 passengers on board, including the crew members. And at about 4:30 p.m., it lost its contact with the radars and crashed at Havelian, which is a few miles away from the city of Abbottabad.

All the 48 passengers were killed in this crash. One of Pakistan’s famous personalities—Junaid Jamshed, who was a pop singer and an Islamic preacher—was also killed. He was accompanying his wife.

The search operation has been called off because of the dark and the harsh terrain. So far 43 bodies have been recovered, and the operation will continue in the morning.
