Probe opens into air disaster that killed 47 in Pakistan

Authorities have launched an investigation into a plane crash that saw all 47 passengers and crew on board killed in Pakistan. The aircraft was en route from the mountain resort of Chitral to the capital Islamabad on Wednesday when one of its engines failed shortly after take off.

Witnesses said they saw the plane listing and nosediving. Three foreign nationals were on board the flight, including one Chinese and two Austrians.
