A band made up of Syrian refugees performed in the Belgian capital of Brussels on Thursday. The group held the concert to send a poignant message 'through music' on behalf of refugees around the world.
While the idea behind the event was to thank countries that have opened their arms to those who are displaced, the band -- called "Syrians got talent" -- also wanted to break stereotypes regarding refugees. The group of four Syrian musicians arrived in Belgium separately about 18 months ago. The event was organised by the NGO "Refugees Are Not Alone".
