To German where in the Bundesliga, defending champions Bayern Munich are in the unfamiliar position of second place in the standings after the incedible start to the season from promoted Leipzig. But the Bavarians are not far off and one slip from Leipzig would see them back on top provided they continue to win, and against struggling Wolfsburg, Munich would offer a reminder of why they are one of the top teams in Europe.

In the 18th minute, Arjen Robben steps inside the box and curls a beautiful left footed shot into the top corner for his fifth goal of the season and a 1-0 lead for the hosts. Coach Carlo Ancelotti approves.

Just four minutes later Robert Lewandowski taps in very easily to give Bayern a two goal lead.

In the 58th minute, the Pole gets just enough of this ball to deflect it in for the 200th goal of his career. Munich have won their last 37 league matches when Lewandowski finds the net and it's now 3-0.

In the 76th, Thomas Mueller ends his drought as the midfielder chips it in for his first goal in 999 minutes to make it 4-0 and avoid a milennia of mediocrity.

Brazilian Douglas Costa completes the rout eight minutes late to give Bayern a 5-0 win. The hosts extend their winning streak to four matches and the crushing victory sees them move back to the top of the table.

That's because Leipzig finally lost their first match of the season after eight consecutive victories when Brazilian Roger's glancing first-half header earned struggling Ingolstadt only their second win of the campaign. Dortmund continued their erratic domestic form with a 1-1 draw at Cologne. And Hamburg earned a 1-0 win over Augsburg.

So Bayern and Leipzig are now even on 33 points, but the Bavarians on top due to goal difference. Hertah Berlin are six back in third while Hoffenheim and Frankfurt are close behind, even on 26 points while Dortmund are down in sixth.
