Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a meeting on Sunday with Michael Moller, director-general of the United Nations Office in Geneva.

Wang said U.N. organizations in the Swiss city have played a vital role in China’s path of reform and opening-up, in addition to helping the country play its part in contributing to world peace and development. 

Wang added that Beijing wants to further strengthen collaboration with the U.N. to address global challenges, and add more Chinese perspective in global governance. 

Meanwhile, Moller said only multilateralism and strengthening international cooperation will help in solving world conflicts, and that the U.N. appreciates China’s contribution in this regard.
