The Communist Party of China has specified the major tasks for the government’s economic work in 2017, including supply-side structural reforms.
Areas that are expecting reforms include state firms, fiscal and taxation, finance, and social security, according to a statement released Friday after the central committee’s politburo meeting.
The statement said China will also enhance the rule of law and improve the investment environment. In addition, the statement said China’s growth remains within a reasonable range but still faces challenges in overcapacity and financial risks.
