In the NBA, the Utah Jazz hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder with both teams tied at the top of the Northwest Division. This is Utah's first game following a busy stretch of nine games in 13 days and their injury ridden roster would get a boost from the return of Derrick Favors and Rodney Hood who would lead the way for the hosts.

Early going and Dante Exum goes to the baseline and feeds Rudy Gobert and the Frenchman finishes with a flush to make it 7-0 for the Jazz.

OKC get on the board but the Jazz continue to control things as Exum gets open at the top of the arc to drain a three and it's 13-7 Utah.

Second quarter and Hood drives in for the And 1 as the Jazz are up by 15 and starting to pull away.

But OKC"s one-man wrecking machine goes baseline to throw it down as only Russell Westbrook can and the league's leading scorer finishes with 27 points.

But the Jazz are still well ahead and when Steven Adams gets the putback, OKC are down by 12.

Westbroook does what he can to keep the Thunder close as he pulls up for a triple two and a half minutes into the third quarter and the Jazz lead is down to six.

But when Gordon Hayward drives in for the hoop and the harm, Utah go ahead by 12.

The Jazz continue to pull away in the fourth quarter as Australian Joe Ingles is left all alone for a three. And Utah go on to win 109-89 to top the Northwest Divison.

In other action, Demar Derozan had 31 as Toronto beat Philly, John Wall's 25 led the Wizards over the Hornets, the Clippers topped the Magic by five points, Hassan Whiteside had 26 points and 22 rebounds in Miami's victory, Brooklyn beat the Lakers, and Cleveland rested their big three in their loss to Memphis.
