China has launched its first overseas satellite station in Sweden's northernmost town, Kiruna.

The Arctic Station is located around 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, and can transmit and receive more data than similar stations based in China.

The station will help enhance China’s ability to rapidly respond to natural disasters.
