Syrian rebels have reportedly fired on government forces along an evacuation route in Aleppo. The Syrian government says it has suspended efforts to evacuate civilians from rebel-held parts of Aleppo in response.

People began leaving the embattled city under government supervision yesterday. The controlled evacuation continued through last night. According to The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, around 8,500 evacuees are now under the control of government forces.
