In the NBA, the Boston Celtics were at home to the Charlotte Hornets and looking to snap a three-game skid. Both Eastern Conference teams are pretty close in the standings with Charlotte came in as winner of 14 games while Boston had 13 W's. But thanks to 26 points from Isaiah Thomas, the Celtics would win 96-88 and jump up to third in the table.

In other notable games on Friday, Dwight Howard had 27 and 15 rebounds in Atlanta's win over Toronto, Chicago only managed a pitiful 69 points in their loss to Milwaukee.

Houstoon set a record for the most three-pointers made with 24 led by Eric Gordon going 7 of 12 as they crushed New Orleans. The Lakers ended an eight game losing streak by beating the Sixers. The Clippers beat Miami by four, and Rodney's Hoods' buzzer beater with 0.8 seconds left gave Utah the win over Dallas.
