South Korea's National Assembly is preparing for its last session of questioning over the corruption scandal involving President Park Geun-hye. Key figures are expected to appear before lawmakers.
Around 770 thousand protesters took to the streets of Seoul and major cities across the country on Saturday night. They have called on the Constitutional Court to green light Park's removal from office. This marks the eighth straight weekend of protests against Park.
On the same day, a much smaller number of Park's supporters staged their own rally near the presidential residence to demand that the impeachment be thrown out. According to Gallup Korea's latest poll, Park's support rating stands at five percent.
