We begin with football from Germnay as Borussia Dortmund were at home to Augsburg in the Bundesliga. The BVB were eager to try and make up ground on leaders Bayern Munich and Leipzig heading into the winter break. After consecutive draws in their last two outings, a win here for Dortmund would see them rise to third in the table, but still six points off the leading duo.

Dortmund look dangerous from the start and in the ninth minute, Mario Goezte cuts inside the area but sees his shot go off the post. Good effort but it looked like goalkeeper Marwin Hitz had it covered.

And three minutes later Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang provides another test with this free-kick that is cleared to safety. Great dipping shot from the Gabon international.

There would be more work for Hitz in the 27th minute as he dives to keep out this header as Dortmund continue to press.

And Augsburg punish BVB's wastefulness in the 33rd minute when Jan Moravek sends a loose ball out to Dong Won Ji. His first attempt is saved by Roman Weidenfeller, but not the second and the visitors take a surprising 1-0 lead.

Dortmund start the second half with renewed urgency as they press for the equalizer. Ousmane Dembele touches it to Shimji Kagawa who then sends dembele through and his low shot picks out the far corner.  Hitz gets a piece but not enough and it's 1-1.

In the 50th minute, Aubameyang does this. A beautiful bicycle kick attempt that is unfortunately straight at Hitz.

The match ends in a 1-1 draw, Dortmund's third in a row that moves them to fourth place but it's certainly not the result they were hoping for.
