2016 has seen many celebrity deaths, but let's not forget about the birthdays. The three-time Oscar-winning director who brought us "Jaws", "Indiana Jones", "Jurassic Park" and "ET" is turning 70 years old.

Steven Spielberg is one of the most highly respected modern day directors, and has often been dubbed "The King of Hollywood." But his reputation as "Mr. Blockbuster" was seen for years as an obstacle to highbrow/awards. However, his highest critical acclaim came for the World War Two dramas "Schindler's List", "Saving Private Ryan", the mini-series "Band of Brothers", and the presidential biopic, "Lincoln." He won Best Director Academy Awards for both "Saving Private Ryan" and "Schindler's List" and also won a Best Picture award for the latter.
