Beijing Capital International Airport has canceled over 200 flights as of Tuesday afternoon. Over in neighboring Tianjin, weather conditions at the city's airport have resulted in nearly 200 flights being cancelled and over 70 flights delayed. In Hebei's Shijiazhuang a total of 75 flights were cancelled and another 44 were delayed on Tuesday, due to low visibility and fog. More flight cancellations and delays are expected as smog is set to continue and worsen until Wednesday night, when cooler air is supposed to improve the situation.

On the ground, several expressways in Henan Province have been closed off for the same reasons of low visibility... leaving over 100 cars stranded.
