The Chinese government has named Yin Yong as a vice governor of the People's Bank of China. Yin has been an assistant governor at the central bank since August 2015. He had been working for the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, the country's top forex regulator. Yin holds a Ph.D in engineering from Tsinghua University and a Masters degree in public administration from Harvard University.
