The United Nations Multi-dimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali has granted the force commander award to two detachments and two detachment commanders of the Chinese peacekeeping task force.

These awards are in honor of their outstanding contributions during the peacekeeping mission there. The UN praised the Chinese peacekeepers as competent, efficient, brave, intelligent and trustworthy, and also highly recognized the contributions made by the commanders.

The force commander award is the highest honor of Peacekeeping Missions and is conferred to peacekeeping detachments and peacekeepers by the UN Mission Force Commander in person.
