Borja's agent, Ignacio Martan, earlier this week said that his client was close to joining Brazil's Palmeiras after rejecting an offer from an unnamed Chinese club.

But ESPN Brasil said the 24-year-old Atletico Nacional player has been tempted to change his mind by Shenzhen FC's offer, which is said to include a monthly salary of more than 600,000 US dollars.

Borja has scored 17 goals in 27 matches for Atletico Nacional and helped the Colombian outfit win last year's Copa Libertadores - South America's top club competition - for the first time since 1989. He has been capped twice for Colombia's national team.

Coached by former Manchester City and England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, Shenzhen FC currently play in China League One, Chinese football's second tier.
