Premier Li also China would continue to advance reforms in its foreign trade policies, whilst promoting the liberalization of global trade and investment.
He said China was already making great progress in this regard -- the amount of foreign capital it utilized last year was about 130 billion US dollars, the highest of any developing country.
He also said the continued rise of globalization would meet the fundamental interests of all the world's countries.
Indeed, he added that China would support even more global economic cooperation, upholding the country's leading role in the multi-lateral trading system, as well as make more contributions in multi-lateral trade negotiations.
"China would like to work with other countries to validate the upgrade of the ASEAN–China Free-Trade Area Agreement. We will push forward the construction of the Asia-Pacific Free-Trade Zone, and strengthen trade negotiations with related countries and regions," Li said.
"The government will build eleven FTA test areas, promote the good experiences they offer, and drive development for overseas investment. China is a country with a strong sense of responsibility -- we will fulfil our commitments while defending our rights."
