In today's episode, the CCTV.com Panview team feature's an interview with the Chilean Ambassador to China, Jorge Heine. He talks about how China and Chile bilateral relations have witnessed remarkable cooperation in recent years.

Santiago was the first government in South America to recognize the People's Republic of China as a sovereign state. It was the first country in the continent to sign a free trade agreement with China in 2005. The two countries enjoy strong diplomatic and trade ties.

The Chilean ambassador believes even brighter days are ahead, since his nation holds an abundance of natural resources for mining, commodities exports, along with a bountiful supply of seafood. Chinese consumers have higher disposable incomes and Chilean companies can cash in.

Ambassador Heine also highlighted China's amazing efforts to make huge investments in the Belt & Road Initiative and Chile could play a pivotal role so the two sides can work together and engage in more profitable ventures.
