OSAKA, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Jiangsu FC edged Gamba Osaka 1-0 here Wednesday in the third round of the Asian Champions League group stage, while Shanghai SIPG managed to hold onto a 3-2 win over Urawa Red Diamonds.

Jiangsu dominated in the first 15 minutes with better organization in the midfield. In the 36th minute, Osaka's Konno Yasuyuki's half volley shot hit the post. Three minutes later, Ramires Santos broke the deadlock with an astonishing long shot.

The Chinese Super League side went close to doubling its advantage in a counter attack in the 76 minute. But Wu Lei's lob didn't find the target.

It's Jiangsu's third straight victory in as many games in this year's ACL. In the other game of Group H played on Wednesday, Adelaide United tied Jeju United 3-3.

Also on Wednesday, Shanghai SIPG made it three victories out of three matches. Shi Ke, Elkeson de Oliveira Cardoso and Givanildo Vieira De Souza (Hulk) each scored a goal to put SIPG 3-0 ahead.

Urawa got one back when Rafael Silva was hauled down in the box and got up to convert the penalty himself. And Wataru Endo's scrambled goal six minutes from time gave SIPG a few nervy moments before the full-time whistle.

In the other game of Group F, FC Seoul lost to Western Sydney Wanderers 3-2 at home.
