China Railway International Group, a subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited (CREC), and TGCC, a Moroccan building contractor, jointly won the bid of construction of Rabat Tower. The 250-meter skyscraper in Morocco’s capital Rabat will be Africa’s tallest building upon completion.

The Rabat Tower occupies a total construction area of 86,000 square meters, and the contract value is about $380 million. The project will adopt advanced environmentally friendly design concepts, and will serve as office space, hotel space and high-end apartments. It is expected to become an iconic building in Morocco and the whole of Africa, as well as a symbol of Morocco’s economic prosperity and development.
